01 / Challenge
The task
Travelers often need guidance precisely when connectivity is unreliable. The experience had to make dense local information easy to scan, support six languages and keep essential content available away from a stable connection.
02 / Process
How I built it
- 01
I expanded an original printed-guide idea into a structured digital product, separating places, routes and practical travel notes.
- 02
I built the application around static output and offline behaviour so its core information remains dependable during a trip.
- 03
I created language-aware navigation and map-based route assets while keeping the interface compact enough for one-handed mobile use.
03 / Decisions
What matters
Offline first
Core pages and assets are prepared for use when tunnels, ferries or mountain routes interrupt connectivity.
Six-language structure
Language is part of the routing and content model, not an overlay added after the interface was designed.
Maps with context
Routes combine spatial information with practical local notes instead of relying on pins alone.

05 / Result
Where it landed
The guide became a compact installable companion for the coast, bringing multilingual content, route context and offline resilience into one consistent interface.
