01 / Challenge
The task
Customers need to understand flavours quickly, but ingredient and allergen details cannot become an afterthought. The interface had to remain appetising, legible and consistent across Italian, English, Chinese and French.
02 / Process
How I built it
- 01
I structured flavours as reusable catalog entries with translated names, ingredients and allergen information.
- 02
I paired the data with a consistent image set so visitors can recognise each gelato before opening the details.
- 03
I designed compact language and browsing controls for fast use at the counter on a phone.
03 / Decisions
What matters
Safety in the data model
Ingredients and allergens are explicit structured fields rather than unstructured notes hidden in descriptions.
Four-language parity
The catalog keeps the same flavour structure in Italian, English, Chinese and French.
Counter-speed interface
Large imagery and concise details support quick decisions while a customer is ordering.
04 / Interface
In use
A closer look at the visual system and the product at real screen sizes.
05 / Result
Where it landed
The resulting LaB catalog presents the full range as a coherent visual collection while making important ingredient information easy to reach.
